Terms and disclaimer

Short version: everything here is free, nothing you type is stored, and every number on the site is a starting point rather than a verdict.

What this site is

TinkerBrook is a set of free calculators, converters and reference tables. There is no account, no sign-up and nothing to install. The tools run inside your browser, so the values you type stay on your device.

Use them for anything you like, including at work. You owe us no attribution and there is nothing to accept.

The numbers are a starting point

Every figure here comes from a formula or a published reference, and both have limits. A calculator does not know your oven, your scales, your supplier or your body. Where the result matters, check it against the thing itself.

We fix errors when we find them and when readers report them, but we cannot promise there are none.

Cooking and food safety

Cooking times and temperatures are starting points for a typical machine and a typical portion. Two air fryers on the same setting can differ by several minutes, and thickness matters more than weight.

Where undercooking is a health risk, a thermometer is the authority and this site is not. Safe internal temperatures on these pages follow the USDA FSIS chart, which is linked on every page that uses one.

Training and money

A one-rep max from a formula is an estimate built from a set you have already done. It is not a prescription to attempt that weight, and nothing here is medical advice.

Cost figures — charging, fuel, timber, resin — are arithmetic applied to the prices you type in. They are not a quote and not financial advice.

Ads, links and changes

The site carries Google ads. Links to outside pages are references for a figure we used, not endorsements, and we do not control what those pages say later.

The words and tables here are ours. The arithmetic is not — anyone may implement the same formulas. If these terms change we will change this page. You can reach us through the contact page.
